MICPA – CA ANZ Programme

The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) is a premier professional accounting body that will prepare students for the new world of business. Our education curriculum covers international standards, business finance and strategies which will equip students with the knowledge and understanding of the international nature of business.

A career in accounting is indeed a rewarding one – one with no boundaries or limitations, and MICPA provides students with the keys to broadening their horizons as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Accountant (CA).

We focus on the education and lifelong learning of members, and engage in advocacy and thought leadership in areas that impact the economy and domestic and international capital markets.

The MICPA Program is distinctive and beneficial as graduates qualify for membership to both MICPA and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), upon fulfilling membership admission requirements.

Course Structure

The MICPA Program caters to both Accounting diploma and degree holders and comprise two (2) levels of examinations – the Professional Stage and the Advanced Stage. In UOW Malaysia KDU Professional Accountancy Centre, we are offering Advanced Stage Examination (ASE).

Advanced Stage Examination (ASE)
(5 modules + 3 years of mentored approved work experience with an Approved Training Employer (ATE))

The Advanced Stage exams are open book to ensure candidates develop a strong understanding of technical concepts and the necessary application skills.

– Management Accounting & Applied Finance (MAAF)
– Taxation (TAX)
– Audit & Assurance (AAA)
– Capstone (CAP)

Entry Requirement

  • Must possess a degree in Accounting or other disciplines accredited by MICPA or CA ANZ
  • Be employed by an approved training employer in a relevant field of work
